Lakhmir Singh Mita has worked in different institutions of the FAME, has spoken on various platforms regarding the cause of music education in schools, has participated in seminars at different parts of the country on the issue. At present he has been working as a clinician in the Band Room at FAME Delhi.
He is also a part of FAME Delhi Student Mentoring Committee since the year 2012. He is a member of the organizing committee of FAME Delhi National.
Singh is also an alumni of the FAME institute, where he studied for his music degree for 4 years.
His hobbies are playing and singing music, art and photography.

Solitary confinement in California prisons has increased markedly since the Supreme Court struck down the state’s anti-shackling law in June, according to an analysis of DOC data.
Despite the ongoing legal battle over the safety of people held in county jails around the state, only one inmate was segregated in October, compared with 22 inmates in June and 58 inmates in May, according to data provided by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Last month’s single case involved a man charged with murder who was placed in solitary because he repeatedly violated his parole, said a spokeswoman, who didn’t identify the inmate.
In June, the court held that the state couldn’t force some inmates to wear shackles during their trials, and later held that a person who has been convicted can challenge the practice of isolating people as punishment. The former ban was part of a 1996 law that was challenged in conjunction with the latter.
